Inside a palm sized 3D printed case, an ESP32 talks to a salvaged smart-watch display. The cheap donor board donated only its crisp LCD and cap-touch glass; the original brains were tossed.
The ESP32 drives everything through a short ribbon cable. A few solder bridges on the watch pcb carry SPI data, power and I2C touch lines straight to the esp32.
